Canada offers permanent residence opportunities for eligible skilled workers who wish to live, work, and settle in the country long‑term. As a Canadian permanent resident, you may access most social benefits available to citizens, including public health care, and enjoy the freedom to live, work, or study anywhere in Canada. Permanent residents may also apply for Canadian citizenship once eligible and are protected under Canadian law and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Each year, thousands of skilled workers are invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada through Express Entry, which manages applications under the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class. Additional pathways for skilled workers include the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), the Atlantic Immigration Program, the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot, the Agri‑Food Immigration Pilot, as well as caregiver pathways such as the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot.

We assess your individual profile and immigration goals to develop a customized strategy that helps you and your family pursue permanent residence in Canada through the most suitable skilled worker immigration program

TEMPORARY WORKER

OPEN WORK PERMIT • EMPLOYER-SPECIFIC WORK PERMIT

Many Canadian employers listed on Job Bank seek foreign workers to fill labour shortages across various industries. A Canadian work permit allows a foreign national to legally work in Canada. In most cases, individuals from foreign countries must obtain a work permit before starting employment in Canada, although limited exemptions apply in specific situations.

An open work permit provides maximum flexibility, allowing you to work for almost any employer in Canada without being tied to a specific job. Open work permits are available only under certain immigration categories and eligibility conditions. An employer‑specific work permit, on the other hand, allows you to work only for the employer listed on your permit and includes conditions such as the employer’s name, job location, and the duration of authorized employment.

Gaining Canadian work experience can be a significant advantage when applying for permanent residence in Canada. Work experience obtained on a valid work permit may contribute points under the Express Entry system, support eligibility for federal immigration pilot programs, or serve as a requirement for one of the many Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).

Important notice: We do not provide job offers. However, if you already have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer, we can assist you with the required documentation and work permit application process to help authorize you to work in Canada.
